(EN) This series of photos were taken at the construction place where Laury Hooghuis photographed during the demolition and also directed her film Under Reconstruction. In this autonomous photo series she captured her fascination with the unknown terrain in the images. A personal quest where the construction place is a metaphorical place for the inner transformation of human being. She makes the remaining souls of the building visible by photographing the sleeve of the building. The rough demolition is interspersed with the entities walking through the building. This non-linear sequence of images shows the human quest of life. The unstable, transience and changeable are made visible.
(NL) Deze serie foto’s zijn gemaakt op de construction place waar Laury Hooghuis tijdens de afbraak heeft gefotografeerd en ook haar film Under Reconstruction heeft geregisseerd. In deze autonome fotoserie legde zij haar fascinatie met het onbekende terrein vast in de beelden. Een persoonlijke zoektocht waar de construction place een metaforische plek is voor de innerlijke transformatie van het menselijke zijn. De overgebleven zielen van het gebouw maakt zij zichtbaar door de huls van het gebouw te fotograferen. De grove afbraak wordt afgewisseld met de entiteiten lopend door het gebouw. Deze non-lineaire sequentie van beelden laat de menselijke zoektocht van het leven zien. Het onbestendige, vergankelijkheid en veranderlijke worden zichtbaar gemaakt.
