''Nice with the muted palette
My associations were about house as body / inner psychic space and attempts at integration where parts of the self screen things out and other parts break down barriers for integration
I liked the use of doorways and natural light and the tension around the destructive/ penetrative machinery
Sort of necessary destruction in order to grow?
The woman in grey has a good camera presence
Photography and framing pretty nice, cohesive''
About under Reconstruction 2020,
Christine Westwood,  Film Critic, Sydney.
On the one hand, the tension between what happens in the foreground and the continuation of that enormous destructive grab in the background and the alternating images of those two fragile ladies, who are so different, makes the film so integrative. Everything so beautifully supported by the sound.

''I've experienced a really good streaming session of your works last night.
Haunting images, thrilling story accessorized with amazing soundtrack.
Love it! Locked grooves and endless inner society loops are so brilliant described.''

''Hooghuis has her very own handwriting and way of thinking and that she can convert her ideas into penetrating, expressive images in an interesting and direct way.
With regard to many others, Laury quickly realizes that she works to reach the spectator.''
